Here are a few of my best wedding proposals! I hope you gain some inspiration for your big moment!

The main thing to remember is that you should not copy an idea word for word as the best wedding proposals are always unique to the couple involved! This should be easy as you know her better than anybody else!

1. Go digging for sea shells at the beach. Suddenly you “stumble” upon an old bottle which contains a love poem inside! It should begin quite vague and then gradually appear to be about the two of you. She will love it! You can propose after you’ve read it to her!

2. For the mature relationship and you’re extra certain of a yes answer, why not have an instant wedding? The laws in Hawaii are quite lenient and will allow for this! Of course you’ll need her friends and family involved. After you’ve proposed, hold the wedding on the spot!

3. Get 3 red roses for her! One for the past, one for the present, and the final rose, with the ring attached to it is the future!

4. Organize a spa day and then get a limo ride to a fancy city photo shoot! During the shoot, get down on one knee and propose, you’ll have the photos forever! After take the limo to a nice restaurant followed by a 5 star hotel.

5. Arrange to meet her in the park at lunch. Arrive late riding a horse and wearing a suit of armour. Swing down from the horse and offer to be her prince! A friend lurking in some nearby bushes could be on standby to play Holsts “Jupiter” for when you arrive!

6. Pick her up from work in a limousine! Give her some flowers and have her favourite outfit ready for her! Take her to the best restaurant in town and have them serve you in the limo. Make sure the privacy window is up and have romantic music playing. Propose over champagne.

7. Take a trip down memory lane! Walk past the spot where you first met! Have your first ever meal at the spot you had your first ever picnic! Listen to your special music then watch your first ever movie together! Then propose! She will love the fact you remembered all the little things!

Proposing to your girlfriend is something that hopefully you’re only going to do once! Hopefully!!! Before you propose to your girlfriend, read these tips to give yourself a little advantage!

1. Only ask the question if you know the answer, just like a good lawyer! If you think she might say no, then you really haven’t been seeing her long enough!

2. If you’re considering a public proposal ie in front of her family or at a ball game then you need to be extra sure she’ll say “yes!” You don’t want her to accept only to change her mind when you’re alone!

3. You must surprise her! Don’t let her see any of your plans, if you need to let others in on it to help plan things, make sure you can trust them to keep quiet!

4. Always personalize your engagement proposal! You know her better than anybody else so this should be easy. Never carbon copy an idea you read on the web or in a magazine!

5. Always take a knee! Yes I know it’s corny and old but she always imagined her marriage proposal would be like this so don’t let her down!

6. Guard the ring! Don’t risk losing it in some elaborate engagement scheme by burying it in sand or giving it to the Dog to deliver to her! It’s not worth it!

7. Keep heavy eye contact! You will show confidence and she will know that you mean it!

8. Ambiance is important to a successful proposal she’ll always remember! Most girls would rather have candles, moonlight, good food and music over a public proposal in front of people she doesn’t know!

9. Consider your timing! If you propose in the winter, then it’s just a few months before you could have a spring wedding! For a long engagement, go for a spring proposal! It could be a whole year before you would have to go through with it!

10. Relax! This is a huge moment for you both! As long as you planned everything then it’ll go fine! Enjoy it!

I’m glad its unique marriage proposals you want and not copied ones. You won’t mind me saying that the best marriage proposals are ones that are personal to your own relationship!

So make sure you put your own twist and stamp on the following unique marriage proposals!

1. Go for a meal at a fancy restaurant and get collected in a horse drawn carriage! Drink champagne while you’re riding around town and propose while you cuddle under the stars.

2. While she’s not home light a candlelit pathway leading up to her front door and beyond into her bedroom. When she follows the path she’ll find you in a tux on one knee with ring in hand.

3. Find an idyllic location that is special to the two of you. Take her there blindfolded! When you uncover her eyes, she finds you’ve made a picnic with all her favourite food. You could hide a bottle of champagne in some nearby water. Propose while listening to your special song!

4. Take a trip down memory lane and recreate your first date! She will love you for remembering all the little things. Where you met, had your first meal, picnic and the first song you made love to! Combine all these elements and she will surely say yes!

5. Collect her from work in a limo you’ve hired. Hand her a rose and have her favourite outfit for her to change into. Drive to the best restaurant in town and have them serve you in the limo. You can propose listening to romantic music while drinking champagne.

6. Rent a suit of armour and a horse. Tell her to meet you in the park at lunch time and arrive a few minutes late as a knight in shining armour. Your friend could be there ready to play Holsts “Jupiter” as you arrive in the distance. Swing down from the horse and offer to be her prince.

7. Mail her a romantic poem with a photo of you down on one knee! Wait outside for the mail to arrive and when you hear her scream, knock on the door and be on one knee when the door opens!

Before we get into some really special engagement proposal ideas, it’s important for you to know that you shouldn’t simply copy an idea from somewhere else.

You should take any idea and make it personal to you and your lady by using some of the many shared experiences you have together!

I hope the following engagement proposal ideas give you some inspiration for you and your lady:

1. Mail her a photo of you on one knee with a special love poem. Wait outside her house for the post to arrive and when you hear her scream, knock on the door and propose in person.

2. Say that you’re away on a business trip for a special anniversary time. You’ll be away for 2 weeks. Go 1 week without seeing her to make it seem real, then on the anniversary, surprise her with your presence and propose.

3. Go on a hot air balloon ride at night time. Go over the city and looking down on the light and under the stars, you can propose to her.

4. Go building sand castles, or digging for shells on the beach. You can “stumble” upon an old bottle with a love poem inside. Read her the poem, it will become clear it is about her and then propose.

5. You need to be extra certain she’ll say yes for this one! Go for an instant wedding! Take her for a meal and propose! When she says “yes” you can start the wedding on the spot! Make sure that everything is planned out!

6. Get her 3 roses and say that they symbolize the past, present and future. Have the ring attached to the future!

7. Go for a day at the spa followed by a professional photo shoot! While you’re getting the photos, get down on one knee and propose. You will have the moment forever! Afterwards, go for an amazing meal followed by a 5 star hotel.

No matter how you decide to make your wedding proposal, you need to ensure you make it unique to you!

The best way of doing this is to take the things which are special and unique to the two of you and bring them in as part of your wedding proposal.

That being said, take a look at these wedding proposal ideas:

1. Take her on a trip down memory lane. Recreate the first date, meal, walk, song you made love to and wine you drank! At the end propose! She will be amazed at the things you remembered!

2. Go on a hot-air balloon ride over some amazing scenery. Pack all her favorite food and some champagne and propose when the time is right! Though you will have to mind the balloon operator. He could probably read a book or something while you do it.

3. Go digging for shells on the beach! When suddenly you “find” an old bottle with a love poem inside. Read it to her! It slowly becomes clear that the poem is about her! Then pull out the ring (don’t put it in the bottle!) and propose! Make sure you know exactly where you’ve hidden the bottle!

4. Cook for her! A week before, ask her what her last meal would be if she was to be electrocuted! Then recreate the meal minus the electrocution! Pull out all the stops; romantic music, flowers, candles and phone off the hook!

5. Pick her up from work in a rented limousine! Hand her some flowers and have her best outfit to hand for her to change into! Drive to the nicest restaurant in town and have the food served to you in the limousine with special instructions not to be disturbed after desert! Propose in the limousine (with privacy window up) with romantic music playing.
